His story
Is of Portuguese origin and won the 2018 and 2022 World Championship title at the Culinary World Cup where he represented Switzerland in Luxembourg. In 2017, he won the bronze medal at the Pastry World Cup in Lyon. He is currently the Portuguese national with the most medals in the world of pastry and chocolate. The chocolate maker is also one of the most medallists in Switzerland to offer so many titles to his adopted country.
The son of a cook father and a pastry mother, Jorge does not hesitate to follow in his parents’ footsteps. At the age of seventeen, he emigrated to Switzerland to fulfil his dream.
Jorge’s heart is divided between Switzerland and Portugal. He currently lives in Switzerland where he is known for his art. However, the enthusiast does not forget his native country, which he never stops visiting. The fruit of a brilliant career, he is one of the best chocolate makers in the world and an illustrious ambassador for the success of Portuguese emigrants in Switzerland.
The enthusiast obtains three CFCs: cook, pastry chef-confectioner and baker. It was during his apprenticeship as a pastry cook that Jorge discovered his great passion: Chocolate ! Where he stood out thanks to his great potential and creativity.
